Since joining SME in 1993, Matt Barnett has led the sales team and overseen productions all over the world, working with clients such as Coca-Cola, UBS, Credit Suisse First Boston, Hearst Communications, AT&T, Ernst & Young, Time Warner, Cingular, EMC, Metropolitan Life, JP Morgan Chase, HP, NCR, Toshiba, Texas Instruments, and Unilever to name a few, in venues ranging from Spain to Brazil to Monte Carlo. Matt has been instrumental in the development of SME’s entertainment division, working with a veritable who’s-who list of the world’s greatest entertainers. Matt has booked and managed production shows such as Lenny Kravitz, Matchbox 20, Don Henley, Sir Paul McCartney, Lionel Richie, Stevie Nicks, and numerous other headline artists. His recent booking of the legendary Stevie Wonder is one of the largest bookings for the firm yet. Moreover, Matt has also booked all of today’s comedians, including Jerry Seinfeld, Robin Williams, Jay Leno, Dana Carvey, and Bill Cosby many times.

On top of his role with the entertainment side of SME, Matt has had a big hand in developing SME’s Sports Division. He has secured talent for several of the largest sporting events worldwide, including multiple summer and winter Olympic Games, various Super Bowls, World Series Championships, and major golf and tennis championships. Prior to joining SME, Matt utilized his sales and production knowledge in the trade show industry. He produced and managed trade shows for clients throughout the country, working with major corporations and networks like CBS, NBC and ABC.

Matt was born and raised in Los Angeles and is married to Joy, with whom he has two daughters, Madyson and Hunter. When he is not in the office (or on a plane), Matt likes to show off his athletic side, as he is an avid golfer and basketball player.
